GENERAL INFORMATION
What is a "Gallery Page?"
A gallery page is your own webpage within the VWS Website. It is what viewers see when they visit our online gallery. It contains your biography or artist statement, four of your recent works and if you desire, your contact information and picture.
Why does the VWS provide this service?
Providing this service helps us to create greater value for our members which is consistent with our mission statement:

What is the benefit of having a VWS Gallery Page?
o You have a "web-presence" for an extremely low cost
o Your customers have a location to view your most recent works
o Interested parties can contact you directly about your work
o A website gives you the opportunity to tell potential customers what you are about and why you deserve their trust and confidence
o It allows you to break through the geographical barriers and become accessible, virtually, from any country in the world by a potential customer that has Internet access.
o You benefit from the association with a reputable art association, the VWS
HOW TO OBTAIN A GALLERY PAGE
You must be a member in good standing with the Vermont Watercolor Society
Submit the following items to the VWS Web Manager:
1. Print and fill-out the New Gallery Page Form
2. A CD with 4 digital images appropriate for web display. Most photo programs have an option for converting your digital photo to a "web" photo. The image dimensions must match these:
File type: JPEG or TIFF
DPI 72
At least 600 pixels on the long side
3. Your bio with 750 words or less in a word or text format
4. A digital image of yourself using the image dimensions above
5. A check for $60 made out to the Vermont Watercolor Society. This covers
a. A one time set-up charge for your gallery page
b. Gallery page to include your bio, artist image and four recent works
c. One upgrade of each image at no charge
